Schering Plough, based in Summit, New Jersey, is a longstanding, global, research-based pharmaceutical firm.
Recently, they have embarked on a multi-year program to reinvent the company, including new facility construction.
What was their challenge?
After building an ambitious 1MM sq ft. new facility at their Summit, NJ campus, Schering Plough needed to identify
furnishings that were of the highest standards of quality while keeping their costs manageable. In particular, since they were occupying new buildings,
Schering Plough would only accept a 10 out of 10 quality solution.
What Boomerang provided.
Boomerang developed a comprehensive plan, gathering together a range of great solutions to fill the extensive space
while meeting Schering Plough's demanding standards and budget concerns. This large scale project required multiple layers of logistics coordination over a
five month period. Boomerang secured a full range of 'as is' furnishings for six floors, including 150 workstations, 200 offices, 27 conference rooms, 500
chairs, and 350 files.
An important aspect of this deployment required Boomerang to manage the removal of furnishings from Minneapolis, coordinate the delivery and project manage the deployment at Schering Plough. This successful implementation benefited over 350 Schering Plough employees with smartly designed furniture that was within the company's budgetary expectations.
